At School Centre Novo mesto, students receive a special reward for their successful completion – better quality components in the hardware learning app.
The team at the School Centre Novo mesto decided to piloting in the Hardware Maintenance module in the Computer Science Technician programme. The module provides students with detailed knowledge of computer hardware. Teachers and students have developed an application that uses a “marker” to show specific interactive components of computer hardware using augmented reality technology. Through an open 3D model, students can take a closer look at the component and enter the Moodle online learning environment, where they can access interactive H5P content to reinforce and complement the knowledge they have acquired in class.
Further enrichment is provided by the activation of a gamified points system, which rewards students with higher quality components in further interactions with the application, if they successfully progress according to the amount of points they have earned in the interactive content obligations.
